FAQs

Below are some questions commonly asked by Shoetech clients. If your question is not answered, contact the Shoetech clinic for assistance.

Shoetech consultations and products cannot be claimed on Medicare. However, most private health funds will cover the costs of Shoetech products. Unfortunately the Shoetech consultation cannot be claimed.
The level of private health insurance cover will determine exactly what can be claimed by each patient. Not all health funds require a referral but it may be a good idea to have one on file for potential claims.

A referral is not required for a Shoetech consultation. However in cases of complex problems, or where previous treatment or surgery has taken place, it is beneficial for your Shoetech practitioner to know the medical history of diagnosis. Referrals are also useful with health fund claims.
